Can you play an instrument? Do you like to sing? Would you like to be a member of a Rock Band, Choir, Orchestra, Guitar ensemble, Trad group or Drum Ensemble? Whether you are a Classical musician, a Trad musician, a Rock musician or a just for fun musician, come and join our
Musica Fusion Summer Camp!
Our qualified, expert teachers will help you improve your music skills and will introduce you to new skills and instruments. You will learn all about different instruments and benefit from playing with others.
Each student will get the oppurtunity to learn a new instrument and to try out many others! We have drums, violins, violas, cellos, double basses, electric basses, electric and accoustic guitars, trumpets, trombones, flutes and clarinets, to name just a few!
Whether you are a grade 6 instrumentalist or a beginner with a few lessons under your belt, we would love you to come and join us. Whatever your musical style, there's a place for you so come and share your talent, whatever that may be!
Our Musica Fusion Summer Camp will finish with a wonderful concert for all to enjoy. With Rock bands, orchestra, choir, drum ensembles, musical mime and our boomwhacker orchestra, you and all the family will be entertained! What a way to finish off a wonderful week of musical learning, fun and games.
If your child does not play an instrument and you are not sure what instrument they would like to learn, bring them along and we will introduce them to all the instruments and styles and get their musical journey off to an exciting start. Our drum workshops and boomwhackers will go down a treat and our exciting musical games will keep them entertained. You will be amazed at how much they will learn in the week and have the pleasure of seeing them perform with the various different groups at our final concert.
Our 8 – 12 year olds (primary students) will improve their skills on their chosen instruments and enjoy the treat of learning a new one. They will learn to improvise and play with others through our hilarious musical games! Performance mime is a big highlight every year and helps improve musical performance skills and builds confidence. And, of course, playing with the different groups is a wonderful experience for young people.
Our 12 – 18 year olds (secondary students) will benefit from the many master classes that are held throughout the week, including hours of drum and percussion workshops. During the week they will learn how to use recording equipment, P.A. Systems, amplifiers, pedals and lighting equipment. All students will learn at least one new instrument and have the oppurtunity to try out many more. Our senior group will perform with many different Rock bands and ensembles and tackle different musical styles. The highlight of the week is always the orchestra, especially for those who have never played in one before! Last year seniors were amazing with the Boomwhackers! Can't wait to see what they do this year!
We have 2 Summer camps this year! Venue 1: Granagh Community Centre, Granagh Co. Limerick. Dates: Monday July 6th to Friday 10th inclusive Time: 10a.m. to 3p.m. (Concert is friday at 1p.m.)
The wonderful country location of this camp always adds flavour to the week. We have a lift/share system in operation for those travelling from Limerick City.
Venue 2: Musica Fusion School of Music, Bakers Road, Charleville. Dates: Tuesday August 4th to Saturday 8th inclusive Time: 10a.m. to 3p.m. (Concert is Saturday at 1p.m.)
Price of both camps: €95 per student €75 for the second student from the same family and €65 for the third or more.
A non-refundable deposit of €20 is required per student and the balance is to be paid on the first morning of the camp. There are a limited number of places and will allocated on a first come first served basis so its advisable to get in early!
